Sponsors HKD710,800 (91,054.91 USD)relief tents to Sichuan earthquake zone

To take part in the relief and reconstruction from earthquake in Sichuan province of China, Audemars Piguet sponsored HKD710, 800 (91,054.91 USD) of relief tents to Sichuan earthquake zone through Hong Kong Red Cross on June 20, 2008.

A major earthquake, measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale, jolted southwestern China's Sichuan Province on May 12, 2008. Millions of homes were destroyed during the disaster, leaving survivors to stay at open spaces and keep themselves safe from thousands of aftershocks followed in the same area.

In expressing the deep condolences over the massive earthquake in southwestern China and show the support to the Chinese government and people for their arduous efforts in disaster relief, Audemars Piguet sponsored relief tents through Hong Kong Red Cross, aiming to help people to reconstruct their lives; the relief tents will be sent to the affected area in July.
